About the Resort
The Retreat at Sky Ridge is an unspoiled, wooded 135-acre property near Beaver Lake, with seven fully furnished deluxe rental cabins. The log cabins range from the Osage, a secluded cabin in the woods, to the safari-themed "Jungle Jack" Hanna cabin. Enjoy your stay in The Amelia Cabin, furnished to evoke the adventurous aviator, or The Barkley Cabin where your dog will feel right at home. The Tribal Council Cabin is furnished to honor our nation's Native American Heritage, while The Park Ranger Cabin offers homage to our national parks. The Jacob Studer Cabin embodies a naturalist theme.

Each cabin boasts at least 650 square feet of space, with vaulted ceilings, wood- burning fireplaces, ceiling fans, Orthopedic Pillow Top mattresses, and full kitchens. Cabins also have outdoor grill, covered porch with rocking chairs and swing, and hummingbird feeders. We offer free wi fi at the check-in cabin and a 24 hour video, DVD, games, and book library. The property is the origin of Cedar Creek, which feeds the White River, and features a covered picnic area with large grill for groups, stocked fishing pond, and gazebo.
The original homestead cabin was built in 1885 and the rental cabins were formerly known as Fairwinds Mountain Cottages. After purchasing the property in May 2009, new owners Eric and Cindy Studer have renovated and redecorated all the cabins for your comfort. They have also added a second pond with a waterfall, expanded the picnic area, and created a new check-in facility.
New features to be introduced soon include:
